- What Stupid Will Get You
July 3, 2010 – An engaging and perfect post by Dean Shareski on the new book by Clay Shirkey, Cognitive Surplus. I just finished listening to that book, and would recommend it, especially for those that are over 30 or 35, who grew up with television as our primary source of entertainment.
This post not only does a good job of covering the main essense of the book, but links many to of real life examples of how the internet is changing what we do with our free time, including links to several of Dean’s presentation of these ideas on Prezi and other posts.
Something I’m going to suggest as essential readers for teachers. We need to make sure that teachers really understand this fundamental shift in the way we learn and interact. It’s the future.
